What Legos can teach us about real estate

August 5, 2010 By Ryan Lundquist 16 Comments

Did you play with Legos as a kid? After building a four-story home last night with my six-year old son, I snapped a few photos to show just how much Legos can teach us about real estate. These images will give you a glimpse into some of the things I see while inspecting properties in the Sacramento area. Have a look and let me know if you notice anything else too.

I hope you enjoyed the pics. If you have any questions about real houses in the Greater Sacramento Region, give me a call at 916.595.3735, catch me on Facebook, or email me at ryan@LundquistCompany.com.

I love legos! What a great post! I love the window access to the 4th floor. And what a view, a lake, beach, golf course, city view, mountains, and park! I can see whey they built the house there! I wonder what the utility costs are? There seems to be a lot of windows that can not be closed.

I don’t know about you Bryan, but when I became a father, legos came back into my life. My boys regularly ask me to build with them. It’s so much fun.

Yes, the view is quite amazing, so the property as a whole is able to fetch high dollars despite some of the health, safety and structural issues. An FHA 203K loan might work for this one. You have a good mind to consider utility costs here, Bryan. 🙂

Thanks so much, Nikki. Everyone loves legos (even David Beckham apparently). I heard a story recently how Beckham mentioned legos in an interview of some sort and then lego sales went through the roof in Britain afterward.

Thanks Cory. Good luck finding a system to not lose your key so frequently. 🙂
