Last week I was given an award for Educational Excellence from the Sacramento Association of Realtors. Only a few people were given this award for 2013, so I was very honored to have received it. Teaching is one of my core passions in life, and I worked very hard last year to make rounds at real estate offices, speak on panels at at the Association and of course unpack thoughts here on my blog. Anyway, I’m really proud to sport this on my office wall, so I wanted to share the good news.

Ryan – CONGRATULATIONS! This is a well deserved honor. It’s great to see that all of your hard work has been recognized in your local market as I know that it is within the “Appraisal Community” nationwide.
Thanks Brian. I really appreciate your kind words.
Great to know your hard work and love of teaching has been rewarded Ryan. Congratulations!
Thank you very much Tom.
Kudos, Ryan…well deserved award!
Thanks Gena. I feel so honored. I appreciate you and your kind words.
Congratulations Ryan! Just wanted to know your blog influences teaching elsewhere too. I teach AP Economics at a local high school and use your blog is one of my favorite sources for keeping me (and my students) apprised of local economic trends. Thanks for all your hard work!
Wow, Jake. Thank you so much. This truly made my day to hear. If there is ever anything I can do for you or your class, let me know. I’m always willing to come in to talk shop or do a Skype session. I’m passionate about education. Thank you again.
Awesome! I’ll have to email you towards the end of the Macroeconomics portion of the class. Perhaps you would be willing to speak (via skype) to my classes about the impact of unemployment, interest rates (maybe even the actions of the Fed), etc on the overall housing industry. Also, some insight on how you use such data to help guide your appraisals would be great!
Sure thing. Just keep me posted. If you’re local and it would be easier, I’m always glad to come in too. That way I can keep students in check if they start to yawn. 🙂
